Telford Archers are committed to providing an environment where people whatever their age, culture, disability, gender,

language, racial origin, religious beliefs and sexual identity can learn and participate in a sport free from harassment and abuse and where the rights, dignity and worth of every child and adult will always be respected.

This club has therefore adopted the Archery GB Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy to ensure peace of mind for both adults and children and actively encourage its best practice procedures.

All volunteers and officers working with young archers have a moral responsibility to safeguard and promote a child’s welfare to demonstrate exemplary behaviour and where they are in a position of power or influence over a young person they are in a relationship of trust and should never do anything to abuse that trust.

We operate an “open door” environment and have a Child Protection Officer and procedures through which all complaints or concerns can be voiced and dealt with confidentially and in complete confidentiality.

All club coaches and volunteers with substantial access to children and vulnerable adults are required to undergo a Criminal Record Bureau check in accordance with the Archery GB guidelines.
